The pitter patter of rain on the sun canopy woke me up this morning. Well, that and J's snoring. It's raining! I love it. After that stretch of heat there is nothing so wonderful as a good downpour. The smell of wet asphalt is heady.
I'm a westcoast girl, born and bred....I need the rain. We're back to sun by the end of the week, which is ok, too.
Not much else to say - except there was a bullfrog on my patio this morning, and a huge pile of racoon droppings on my lawn. And it's raining. Isn't life grand.

What a beautiful cat! How cute the picture. I just loves cats. I do have 2 myself.
That's awesome! I love the rain too! It's so cool to see what a summer shower in the Pacific Northwest will bring out.
I've got a bull frog story. For another time, I suppose...
I'm glad you're getting some rain and hopefully the break from the heat will last a bit.
Could you send a little of that rain our direction? South and east a little bit.
Oh I LOVE the rain. You and I are kindred spirits aren't we? I miss you and I really just need to sit down and type out a nice long email. Or maybe actually handwrite a letter. WOW! That would be something.
BTW, I meant to tell you I got your MO and the beautiful card in the mail last week I think. Thank you so much. I really wasn't expecting it. You know I don't mind doing anything for you. LOVE YOU!
well good for you and your rain...you can have it! :) I'm a sunshine kinda girl...I usually say I would love to live where it never rains..and why can't God water the earth at night like in the garden of Eden...:) we've had an unusual stretch of gray weather here so I'm longing for the sun...trade ya our gray for your sun..:)
Yea for the trip to Africa!! how exciting!
I'm so glad you're getting your rain!! In one of life's little ironies, we have gone from a drought to too much rain. There just seems to be no end in sight. Fortunately we get these breaks inbetween downpours - so it keeps the flooding down. It's always something!!
We had rain too! Are we related or something?
Hey Rena,
I feel the same way about the rain. Texas has recieved buckets and I loved it. Just today there came a down pour for about an hour and I loved it! I am just enjoying not being in the hunreds yet, and for late July here in Texas that is a miracle!!
I have been gone this past week, and I wanted to tell you I owe you an email which you will be getting soon!!
Blessings to you!
